Have you ever?

Have you ever been in a season of your life where you don’t see a way out? Have you fallen into the trap of the enemy when he tells you, you don’t need to exist anymore and you have even audibly expressed it? I have, a couple of decades ago I was so down that while I drove to work, I said it and suddenly I lost control of the car as if someone took the steering wheel. I was in the middle of the freeway with oncoming traffic my car was going fast and straight to the wall. The cars that were on the freeway suddenly disappeared and it was only me in my car. Our heavenly father stopped my car right before it hit the wall. It took me a little bit to understand what happened and took me longer to share it with anyone. I was shaken up, and quickly said I am sorry Lord, and thank you for saving me.

Sometimes this world gets hard, sometimes we want to give up, and sometimes we say things we should not ever say; however, I am here to remind you that He created you with a purpose. What is your purpose you may ask? Well, we all have one, how you get to find your purpose is by looking for Him, surrendering all to Him, forgiving others including yourself, and spending time with Him. When you face difficult times, I am going to ask you to look for worship songs and sing your heart out. Command your heart to bless the Lord. Do not get caught up in feeling sorry for yourself or becoming a victim of your emotions. We serve an almighty sovereign powerful God. God is always working behind the scenes. If I found a way out you will too.

When the hand of the Lord is upon us when He has called us when He has marked us, even though we might try to self-sabotage ourselves nothing will ever separate us from His love. Have you thought about all the Lord has kept you from? If you sit and think for a moment about all He has done to keep you where you are today, you will not deny His divine protection. Think and reflect on those days/nights where He got you home safe, even in our disobedience, He kept us!

Let’s pray, Heavenly father today I pray that whoever is reading this that you bring to mind all you have kept them from, may their hearts be full of gratitude. Thank you for each moment that you kept them for this season and this moment in their lives. Bring to mind situations that they never thought they would come out of and remind them that you brought them out victorious. I pray that you reveal your purpose in their lives as you have revealed it to me. We love you, we acknowledge that without you we are nothing. Lord thank you for your faithfulness, and mercy in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus – Amen!

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you

from the fowler’s snare

and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers,

and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
