Remain steady

While in the middle of chaos have you ever experienced unexplainable peace? Or quite the opposite have you felt like you have been pushed to the edge and when facing that edge, you got only two options jump and give up or raise your hands and suddenly truly surrender. Or have you ever felt like suddenly you need to make a decision about something you know you have prayed for, it could be a job decision, or starting college at 43+ years old. This process might feel hard and emotionally draining but let me tell you is the beginning of a beautiful journey when you trust the Lord to guide you.

Giving up on what we think we know and letting God take over is one of the best decisions you can ever take. I wish I could have taken that decision sooner, not at 45.  I gave up on all and told the Lord I am done with what this world offers, I don’t understand what is happening, I just know I need you and cannot do this alone. I was sincere and broken.

Through this walk with the Lord, I have experienced a lot of beautiful encounters; however, not all have been pretty rainbows and flowers, sometimes there have been thorns with tears; but I remember His announcements and promises to me and that helps me to remain steady. I finally understood that no matter where I am or where I am going in my journey with the Lord, He can still use me at whatever age in my life. It is a beautiful thing to be able to say “it’s what it is”.

The Lord Jesus said in John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world.” As I write this, I am not only encouraging you I am encouraging myself. Our prayers were answer before we opened our mouths, we just did not hear or liked the response. We got to trust that He knows what is best for us. I am writing to encourage you to keep going, remain steady, remain standing, even if you got to get to Him crawling, bruised and broken, believe and have faith that He will put you back together. He is not a God that fails, if we fail, He fails and we do not serve a God that fails. He is the same one yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever more. The same God that opened up the sea, is the same God we see healing and delivering at Revelation Church, my church.

Let’s pray: Father in the name of Jesus give us your strength to keep going, help us your children and give us supernatural strength to keep standing. Remind whoever is reading this like you have reminded me that you will never ever ever leave them nor forsake them, speak to them, visit them oh Lord, let them experience something new today Lord, for your honor and your glory, may you be lifted today, in the might powerful name of Jesus I have prayed.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”—Joshua 1:9,
